Wind Deflector/Aero Flap For Rear Wheels On The Fisker Ocean

This item is 3D printed using a material called TPU. It's a flexible material that feels like a mix between rubber and plastic.

This set of two, left and right side, wind deflector replaces the OEM deflector/flap which seems to split i half and break off within 6 months of driving especially if driving on freeways or motorways.

The wind deflector/aero flap on cars normally contributes 5% or more to the efficiency.

Our design has the same frontal area as the OEM flap, however when looking from the side, you will notice that our flap is more aerodynamic. This is done for multiple reasons.

1. The aerodynamic shape, both reduces drag/pressure on the flap while it also gives the flap a more rigid shape. This helps making sure that the flap stay in place and doesn't get forced backwards at higher speeds which reduces the frontal surface area which in turn will reduce the deflection of air and efficiency of the flap at higher speeds. With our shape and rigidity the flap will provide wind deflection at all speeds, even high speeds when it matters the most.
2. The rigid construction and aerodynamic frontal shape helps keeping the flap steady and not flapping around when the air is disturbed while passing or driving next to other vehicles at higher speeds, this has been thought to be a contributing cause for the premature fatigue and failure of the OEM flap.
3. While a rigid construction, our flap is still flexible, and it should hold up to getting hit by rocks and pretty much any other road debris that we encounter in our daily driving.     
4. This flap has been designed to fit snugly and securely and look like it came with the car using only the original fasteners that are already on the car. No extra screws that might fall off and puncture your tire, and no holes in the car that wasn't there before.
