Door handle inserts. (Set of 4)

This set of 4 door handle inserts, replaces the OEM part that has shown to deteriorate when exposed to UV rays. Cracks in this insert expose sensitive wires that should be protected from the elements.

These inserts are 3D printed in a material called PETG. PETG is a fairly stiff material that is heat tolerant and UV resistant. We have chosen to use PETG instead of ASA, another stiff material, which is known to be even more UV resistant than PETG due a couple of reasons.

1. We wanted to duplicate the look of the OEM part as well as possible. The OEM part has two "colors" a white front and a transparent back. PETG comes in many different colors including transparent. We have chosen a white color that in our opinion is identical to the OEM and printed this with a transparent back, facilitating the transmission of light from the LED strip inside the door handle.
2. At home we have used this exact brand of white PETG for other parts, including parts for our hydroponics garden. We live in Florida and while the sun here often destroys many things, it has still to show any damage to those items printed in this white PETG, even after being exposed to the elements and sunlight for more than 2 years now.

Our inserts has the same frontal look as the OEM, both in daylight and when illuminated at night. They have the same dimensions with tabs to securely install them in the handle before placing the painted front of the handle over the insert. The back side of the insert has small tabs to help hold the LED strip in place inside the insert, while installing in the handle, helping to prevent the LED's from being pinched between the insert and the handle.
